Built on the background of terroism in India, it is a well-made movie which in the climax posing a few unanswered questions to the "Common Man". Kudos to the intelligence of the scenes and impeccable acting by the veterans ,Anupam kher and Nasseeruddin Shah, "A Wednesday" stands amongst the best of the movies made in the year 2008.
The silence of the Indian government and lack of stern action against the islamic terroists groups has made way from wide-spread attacks on the people of India. The terrorist activities which was confined to the valley state of J&K until a decade ago has now reached the mainland symbolising the power and the evil intentions of these groups. Still, the government never speaks about uprooting these groups as a whole but aims at catching and interrogating the suspects for each of the blasts. This can only display the cowardness of the system to take against these forces. While the terroists groups eyes for more attacks and creating havoc in the country, the common man is helpless in fear for life...
The movie poses an inevitable question to the audience... Is it The TIME for the common man to take a step ahead to save his motherland ? Is it the CALL FOR DUTY..
